[Beauty] La belle Skincare Ampoules & Masks Review

Everyone knows that the most basic steps of skin care are cleanser, toner and then moisturizer. Some people will add in extra steps like facial scrubs, essence, eye cream etc. for extra care. But I bet that most of you have never heard of ampoules, right? Cause it's also my first time knowing such skin care product when Sweet Ampoules approached me to review their ampoules and masks.

Ampoule is a supercharged serum with higher concentrations of active ingredients that are meant to target certain skin condition and only be used for a finite amount of time as a booster. (Reference: fashionista)

So for the past 4 weeks, I have been trying out some ampoules and masks from La Belle Paris, and today I'm finally blogging about my experience with these new skincare products! Make sure you read till the end to get a special discount code for you if you're thinking of trying them out as well!

La Belle™ was inspired by the idea of owning a high quality and easily affordable skin care range! The careful blend of ingredients are so fine, mild & delicate which allows fast and effective absorption into the deeper layers of our skin.

La Belle skincare ampoules and essences are mainly extracted and formulated from the best of natural ingredients (herbs and raw materials) which has a huge effective absorption right into your inner skin cells keeping it healthy and moisture.

There are many types of ampoules, masks & essences from La Belle to cater for different skin types, and the dermatologists and pharmacists from Sweet Ampoules has recommended and selected the rightful products from various choices that best suit me for my problem skin:
  1. La Belle Acnex Ampoules
  2. La Belle Sooth Hydrating Ampoules
  3. La Belle Clarifying Ampoules
  4. La Belle Powder Masks (Aloe Vera & Peppermints)
After receiving these ampoules, my daily skincare routine for the whole month has changed to:
CleanserToner → Ampoules → Moisturizer

So if you have skin problem like me, you might wanna check out my review even more! Without further ado, let's see if these products are more effective than other types of skincare!

Overview of the Ampoules

The ampoules are arranged in my usage order: Acnex - Sooth Hydrating - Clarifying.
Close up look for the tiny bottles.
The ampoules are completely sealed with aluminium and a plastic cap, just like how most of the brand new contact lenses were stored in.

To open, just pull the plastic cap according to the direction and pull off the aluminium, and be careful not to cut by the sharp corners of the aluminium!

The grey air tight rubber cap to close the ampoule for the next usage.
The light texture of the ampoules.

Some Important Notes About the Ampoules:
  • Always remember to close back the ampoule glass vials with its grey air tight rubber cover. You may put a tape to it to make sure it's sealed tight. If that doesn't work, pour the ampoule into a refill bottle and cover it tight.
  • One vial may last for 3-4 days MAX.
  • Keep it in a dry cool place, but do not store it in a refrigerator or freezer!

La Belle Acnex Ampoules

Normally one box comes with either 10 vials of the same ampoules, but since I told them I just to try them out to see if they suits me or not, so they only sent me 5 vials for each type in one box.

The La Belle Acnex Ampoule targets oily & acne breakouts skin type, which is what I'm needing the most right now! Pimples never say bye bye to me :(

  • Provides treatments to combination skin type
  • Control excessive oil production in our sebaceous glands
  • Has antiseptic effect & kills bacteria that caused acne/pimples
  • Redefine skin epidermis and dermis by expelling blackheads and whiteheads.

Active ingredients
  • Liquorice Rooth Powder
  • Raw Aloe Vera extract

Recommended Usage Direction
Apply the Acnex ampoule to the acne/pimple area itself after a breakout or on any new swollen areas that you felt a pimple that are going to pop up.Wait for it to absorbed for 3-4 minutes before moving on to the next step.

My Opinion
I'm not used to apply products that targets acne or pimples before moisturizer cause they are normally very thick and have to be applied at the very last steps of the skincare routine. But I'm surprised that I realized this light acne treatment product with a mild scent actually dries up or soothen my zits in just 2-3 days! With this, I've actually stopped using my usual heavy acne/pimple cream!

La Belle Sooth Hydrating Ampoules

The La Belle Sooth Hydrating Ampoule is known as a deep moisturizing ampoule which restores skin cells and instantly provides hydration to a kind of protein in the our skin's dermis layer to revitalize skin.

  • Increase moisture in our inner skin cells
  • Smoothes and plumps skin to lessen the appearance of fine lines
  • Diffuse redness and swollen skin by infusing pure oxygen molecules into your skin, as oxygen molecules helps to restore healthy blood circulation and strengthen skin condition

Active Ingredient
  • Pure Oxygen

Recommended Usage Direction
After applying the Acex ampoule, let it absorbed for 3-4 minutes, then apply a layer of Sooth Hydrating ampoule to sooth the skin cells, then proceed with your choice of day cream.

My Opinion

Usually skin problems are caused by dehydration underneath the skin. But people with problem skin like me can't really use any hydrating products as they are really thick and might worsen my skin! This ampoule is just so perfect as it does not just hydrates my skin, it's also very light and didn't make me feel like there are too many steps to use! I am loving how it treats my skin with its light texture!

La Belle Clarifying Ampoules

The best seller ampoule for scars and wrinkles -  La Belle Clarifying Ampoule, works as an intensive repairer to sooth and smooth out wrinkles and scars. This replacement cycle will exit scarring and necrotic tissues, leaving skin young, smooth and flawless looking!

  • Removes uneven outer epidermal layer by dissolving it into the existing post inflammatory scars and to filled skin depressed scarring
  • Controls the elasticity of connective tissue fibres.
  • Helps to keep damaged tissue from losing its elasticity and texture
  • Activate sleeping stem cells
  • Intensify new skin cells regeneration from the inner deep of the skin

Active Ingredient
  • Methylsilanol Hydroxyproline Aspartate

Recommended Usage Direction
After applying Sooth Hydrating ampoule, apply the Clarifying ampoule to scarring areas, or mix it with moisturizer and apply together. Then follow up by makeup/sunblock for day time, or other skincare products during night time.

Overall Opinion of the Ampoules

As mentioned for each opinions for each type, I am loving the light texture of the products as they can be absorbed into my skin quickly, and surprisingly my skin does improved after one month! (continue reading till the end for the overall Before and After image!)

The only few things that I want to point out is on the product packaging. The grey rubber caps sometimes cant seal the bottle well which leads to the change in smell of the product.

No doubt that this small glass bottle is easier to pour out the liquid and finish it entirely, and as mentioned ampoules are meant to be small, however sometimes it's kinda easy to fall and break accidentally if someone didn't realized there's a mini little glass bottle over there.

I personally think that the company should come out with some sort of 'Ampoule holder' stuff to allow the bottle to be placed firmly and safely since most of us will be needing more than 2 ampoules for our skin!

Besides the ampoules, Sweet Ampoules also sent 2 masks for me to try out, really so sweet of them! Here I've got the Aloe Vera Powder Mask & Peppermint Powder Mask for my weekend pampering session.

It's called the Powder Mask because it comes in powder form and you'll have to mix it with water to form a clay, and apply it onto your skin. Hence, you'll need your own mixing kit!

These clay type masks are special because they target T-zone area, cleansing into the pores and cleans dirt and dead skin cells. It also helps to cleanse oils in our sebaceous glands, leaving our skin feeling rejuvenated.

So here's my pampering session skincare routine:

Cleanser → Scrub → TonerPowder Mask → Ampoules → Moisturizer

Note: One packet of powder masks may be used up to 2 times, sealed it back with a staple after pouring half of the packet and save it for your next mask treatment.

La Belle Aloe Vera Powder Mask

The La Belle Aloe Vera Powder Mask helps to calm down uncomfortable skin conditions and provide calming & moisturizing effects. Aloe Vera is naturally 99% water which provides infinite moisture to the skin. It's suitable for very oily, pimple, acne prone and sensitive skin type.

Ingredients: Diatomaceous Earth, Sodium Alginate, Aloe Vera Powder, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) & Fruit Extract.

La Belle Peppermint Powder Mask

The La Belle Peppermint Powder Masks helps to control skin sebum & to soothe acnes/pimples. It also benefits to refresh, calm down irritation and redness & cooling down skin cells. Known as one of the world's most healthiest food and natural medicinal remedies, given its powerful abilities to soothe and heal our skin! It is also great for revitalizing tired skin. It's suitable for very oily, pimple, acne prone and sensitive with swollen breakouts skin type.

Ingredients: Diatomaceous Earth, Sodium Alginate, Calcium Oxide & Sodium Phosphate.

La Belle Powder Masks Usage Direction

Mix half the packet of the powder masks with equivalent amount of toner or mineral water to turn it into a clay type masks. Apply a thin layer of 1-3mm mask on face, and wait for 15-30 minutes to dry off, then gently peel off the mask.

Here's some of my tips in making this clay mask to avoid fail attempts:
  1. Add water little by little slowly while stirring the clay so that it won't be watery and will drip down from your face after applied.
  2. After completely mixing the clay, apply it onto your skin immediately because it will harden very fast and dries up in the cup even before you apply on your skin. You can refer to my failed attempts image down below and you'll understand.

The powder from the Aloe Vera mask pack.
How the clay looks like after mixing the powder and water together.
Note: This is not how it has to looks like cause I've applied the layer too thin!
Reason that I mixed this little amount is because I had so many failed attempt after applying a thick layer! :(
So here's the failed attempts, waited for too long and the paste has harden before I apply onto my face!
Close up look for the mask on my skin. It should be thicker.
After 20 minutes. It's not good to have the white parts (that has dries up completely) cause it's very hard to remove them!
But the parts that remain the same colour works just like the current famous rubber mask, easy to be peeled off!
The peeled off mask from my previous attempts when I put on very thick.
The instant result after using half packet of the powder mask once!

My Opinion on La Belle Powder Mask

What I love about this mask is it's unlike other clay masks, this mask is easy to be peeled off, and it's even easier if the mask is thick enough! Besides, both of these masks feels cold on my skin after applying the clay on my skin, which can immediately calms my skin redness and show instant result.

The only thing I don't like is the mixing part. First, I don't have a proper mixing kit or even weighing machine that tells me how much is 25g and 60ml, sometimes I added too much water, and sometimes too less to cause the mask to be pasty. And you can tell from my failed attempts, the reason was because they dries up very quickly. But at least on all of the attempts, I got the mask on my chicks properly cause those part matters more than my T-zone.

I do hope that they can give a mixing kit along when we purchase the mask next time, or maybe it's better to sell it in cup version where we can just directly add water into the cup and mix it, so that we don't need to measure the amount ourselves or make separate usage!
