[Food] Mr. Dakgalbi | Bukit Bintang

It's another hard week going on and I barely have time to switch on my laptop to check what's going on in blogger's world recently! I finally decided to spare some relaxing time to blog about an event I went last week, which is my very first food review with the bloggers! 

As you can tell, we were invited for food tasting at Mr. Dakgalbi, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. It's their second branch here and their first branch was located in Solaris!

Mr. Dakgalbi, a Korean Restaurant specializes in spicy chicken meat and 100% halal.

That was not my DSLR, I borrowed it from le boyfie so that I can take a better picture under low light.

I personally love their interior design so much, you won't feel super hot or smelly in the restaurant as you can see that the food will be cooking instantly in front of you on the table!

So let's get started with fooooooooods!! Nom nom yum yum, but I advise not to read if you're hungry now cause you will be seduced! *grin*

Us blogger were given speech by emcee and event organizers before we begin our food tasting session.

Sean, our emcee of the night. The first thing I thought of him is hensem!! The skin is incredibly smooth #wtf!

Anyway, got my new eyeliner shape on to suit the Kpop feel in the restaurant! :D

Side dishes: Raddish, everyone's favourite KimChi and Salad with green apple taste wtf awesome!!!!

In case you have a shallow knowledge on Korean food (like me loll), Dakgalbi (닭갈비) is actually a kind of dish, which you can tell that it's the signature dish of Mr. Dakgalbi!

Dak galbi, also romanized dalk galbi, is a popular Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang (chili pepper paste) based sauce, and sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, ggaennip, and tteok (rice cake) together on a hot plate. (adapt from Mr. Dakgalbi's website)

In short, Dak (닭) means Chicken in Korean, and Galbi (갈비) means ribs. But here, they use chicken thighs instead, and the whole dish includes grilled chicken, sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, ggaennip and rice cake.

Mr. An personally cook and explain everything about the dish clearly for us.

The noodles that we're gonna add together into the cooking pan and.....

Voila! Fried maggie... oh no that's Dakgalbi okay! Okay. I'm starving right now! Gimme mah chopsticks naoooo!!

Nawhhh I ain't gonna eat the whole pan duhh!

In case you're wondering, this is a 4 serving family set (RM104). If you want a personal one, it will be RM19. They also have 3 serving family set and couple set.

"Eedadakimasu" (That's japanese loll if you can figure it out XD)

My thoughts: I was actually expecting a very "Korean feel", which I mean that it won't suits my taste because Korean food normally are very spicy right? But surprisingly, I like it! The only thing is it's very spicy after eating it for a while! I'm really satisfied with it and it's a must try if you have chance to pay them a visit!

So here comes the second dish

After finishing the noodles, rice and cheese were added into the pan and continue frying them into a cheesie fried rice - Rice Pizza!


Look how cheesie it is!! *Drolling!!

My thoughts: I... can't... breathe... cause... it... took.... my...... breathe! Yes of course it taste heavenly!! I'm a cheese lover and ya'know, I have nothing to say but it's awesome! I'm still craving for it!

And lastly, this is the Jaengban Noodles which is a cold dish (>1 servings), served by Mr An who afraid that we girls have a huge appetite and not satisfied with this dinner! Thanks Mr An, but we're really full with that 2 dishes! :D

So what's so special in Mr. Dakgalbi's recipe?! 

Its menu content of chilli powder that could:
  1. Effectively in preventing skin aging
  2. Help Reduce Weight
  3. Plenty of Vitamin A, B, and C that could reduce the stress by its spicy food.
*Dafuq did I just read?! Can I just steal all their chilli powder?!!

And that's all for the food post! Big credits to Jessica who invited me to join this awesome event and make me have no regret on travelling a long way to Bukit Bintang for the fun! *I'm still waiting for her pictures to be uploaded ;D

Besides, thanks to The Butterfly Project too! Without Tammy's inform in the group, I wouldn't know about this event! Of course also thanks to Emcee Sean, Dayang and other bloggers who made my day ended greatly and happily!! Last but not least, thanks to Mr. An for the awesome dinner!
