Turn Up The Glow with the new St. Ives Face Scrubs

Hi Pinkyies! I bet most of you have heard about the famous scrub that can be found in your nearby drug stores - St. Ives' Facial Scrub, especially their Apricot scrubs!

In case you didn't know about this brand, St. Ives is widely-acclaimed and number one scrub brand in the USA, with big market share across regions worldwide since 1980. St. Ives believes the most powerful ingredients can’t be created in a lab. In formulating the products, St. Ives uses the most effective and fresh ingredients sourced from nature – with no unnecessary chemicals.

I believe some of you guys recognized St.Ive's face scrub packaging to be like this:

After 60 years exploring and formulating products that are made from nature, they have finally came out with 6 new face scrubs for different skin conditions!

Made with 100% natural exfoliants, St. Ives face scrubs bring the abundance and joyful energy of nature into skincare to let your skin feel alive, fresh and glowing! It feeds your skin with the best from Mother Earth and lets nature work at your fingertips with every scrub.

St. Ives scrubs are eco-friendly and microbeads-free. You can safely exfoliate your skin without leaving a harmful footprint behind. This is definitely a good news for those who are conscious about the environment and looking for green beauty products.

There are a total of 6 types of NEW face scrub by St. Ives:

#1. Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

#2. Acne Control Apricot Scrub

#3. Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub

#4. Gentle Smoothing Oatmeal Scrub and Mask

#5. Radiant Skin Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub

#6. Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub

Lining up the least exfoliant (the beads) to the most from left to right.

Close up look. It looks harsh but in fact it feels very syok when massaging it on your face!

The scrubs are microbeads-free because they replaced the beads with Walnut shell powder.

Walnut shell powder is the gentle-yet-effective natural ingredient behind St. Ives face scrubs. The walnuts are grown in California. Once harvested, they are washed, dried and cracked before going through a gentle process to separate the walnut from the shell. Next, the shells will be milled gently into a fine powder to create a soft scrub.

Usage direction

Dispense scrub onto fingertips and massage onto damp skin. Spread in small circular motions to wake your skin's natural circulations. When you're done, rinse and glow!

From the swatch pic above, it looks like the Radiant Skin Scrub doesn't contains any beads/scrub, but you can feel a gentle scrub because it's very micro that you can't see it but you can feel it!

For best results, use 3-4 times a week.

Recently I was a little bit crazy over applying different kinds of mask over different parts of my skin to target different condition. Some parts of my face contains more acne like my cheeks and chin, and some parts like my nose has more blackheads. So sometimes, I use different scrubs on different parts of my skin like this:

Guess how many scrubs I used in this face! And name it if you can ;)

And the answer is - Gentle Smoothing on my forehead, Blackhead Clearing on my T-zone and remaining is Acne Control! Did you guess it right? :D

These 3 are actually my favourite, or I should say they are the ones that I'm more concerned about. I love that the Acne Control Apricot Scrubs are still as nice as the one I used few years back in their old packaging, and I also love the other 2 cause they are really gentle to use!

Pssst, keep an eye on my Instagram cause I'm giving away the other 3 to 3 of my fellow followers! Stay tuned! ;)
