So just like last year's, I'm gonna separate into 2 parts because I've too many favourite products in a year! I will be doing my favourite fashion and gadgets in part 2 so stay tuned, and meanwhile, please do enjoy my favourite beauty products in the year 2014, aight? I hope my post is helpful enough for you to get new awesome products and be pretty this Chinese New Year! :)
#1. Naruko Tea Tree Anti-Acne Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++
My very first sunscreen that I'm willing to use everyday because it's anti-acne plus it has a light coverage which makes my skin look flawless in a whole even though it's not fully covered! I just love how I look after applying this sunscreen every time. It's light and not oily at all, and my skin feel smooth and matte after applying! I don't like to apply BB cream every day so this is my holly grill daily must wear product before I go out! I'm definitely repurchasing this soon!
I actually went to purchase other brand of anti-acne sunscreen which has concealing effect as well to try out, but they disappointed me as their concealing is not as good, and some are quite oily on my skin. Not mentioning which brand are those, but the Naruko one is my first favourite sunscreen in my life and I can't wait to go back to use it after finishing my current one!
#2. Benefit Bigger than BB Big Easy
I never thought of owning Benefit's product as they are kinda over my budget, but I won this from Benefit themselves from their Facebook contest and I felt so blessed! This BB cream or Foundation (idk) really turns liquid to powder on my skin as mentioned. It feels smooth and matte after using, and the coverage consider not bad! I really hope I have the money to invest in other Benefit products because most of them got such a great review!
#3. The Body Shop Tea Tree Concealer
When the first time I found out this product in the store, I directly purchase it without thinking thrice (but yes I thought twice lol) because my active acne are back, and I never regret! I got the shade in #02, which is a little bit darker than my skin because they only have 1 shade in the store at the moment (not sure for other stores?).
It's kinda oily actually, but the coverage is really good. I did not expect it to heal my acne or pimple at the first place, but I realized it did! Of course it won't be as good as my holly grill tea tree acne cream from Thursday Plantation, but at least it works, and I feel safe to use it because of Tea Tree. Definitely repurchasing it again soon! Double the awesomeness, so why not? :D
#4. Maybelline Pure Concealer
If you watch Beauty YouTuber's video, you definitely know that some of them mentioned this concealer before. I found that a few of them drop this in their favourite product of the month video.
I totally agree that this drugstore brand concealer works just like high-end brand concealer! Although I never tried any high-end concealer before, but the outcome is really good that I consider it as high-end, lol!
#5. Miss Hana Eyebrow Pencil
I guess that I will be having different favourite eyebrow pencils every year because 2013's favourite was Holika Holika's, 2014 is Miss Hana's, and recently (2015) I bought a new Maybelline one which also impressed me a lot! Stay tuned for my 2015 favourite? XD So basically what I loved about this is the creamy texture of the pencil and the packaging! I've wrote what I love about this eyebrow pencil in the post My Favourite Eyebrow Makeups so do check it out for more images in that post if you're curious.
#6. Étude house Play 101 Pencil
I've wrote a review on the #15 one here as well. After that review post, I went back to purchase another 2 which are #14 (for lips) and #7 (for highlighting). Seriously I wanted to purchase all the colours especially blue, but I thought of I never use it often so I stopped myself! The colours are so vibrant and the texture is so good!
A note reminder, if you're purchasing it for lips, choose the 'glossy' type. I realized that #14 (creamy) is not suitable for lips because it's kinda rough, whereas #15 (glossy) is smoother to be applied on lips. Of course if it's just to use as eyeliner, the creamy one will be awesome!
#7. M.A.C Creamsheen Lipstick
Another highly raved item which I think I don't have to mention more about it. If you're curious, read my review here. :D
#8. Peripera Disney Frozen Peri's Tint Water
This was my Christmas gift from le boyfie, but before that I was happily using the mini sample size that I for from the Peripera's Event last year, and I'm madly in love with the colour and taste, wait, I mean smell! I've been mentioning this to le boyfie how much I love that mini sample one I used for sooo many times that he straightly bought the full size one for my as my Christmas present (so that I can stop telling him? Lol!). Thanks bae <3.
So I'm using the one in #4 and I think that Disney Frozen edition only have #4 and #5, which is Anna's version and Elsa's version respectively. I used it most often as my blusher because I felt that this colour is kinda suitable for my skin tone. Sometimes I use it to make ombre lip colour. It's so light to be applied on lips and face, and honestly this has the best smell among all 5 colours!
#9. Cerro Qreen Double Slider For Eye Cosmetic Make-up Brush Set
Besides my favourite pretty pink and black combination, couldn't disagree that the brushes are really soft, and the small size is so convenient for me to use, to keep and to bring out! It consist of all eye brushes that I need, like for eyeliner, for eyebrows, for smudging my eyeshadow and so on.
It's my very first brush set and I honestly love it very much. Of course I hope to try out other kind of face brushes as well, might invest Cerron Qreen's brushes next time as it's so much affordable than other famous brand like Real Technique, Sigma and more, despite that they are even better.
#10. Murad Clarifying Cleanser
This is another product that I seen quite often in YouTubers or Beauty Blogger's MUST HAVE product in their daily skincare routine! Their clear skin from acne prone skin is come from using this cleanser daily.
Mine is in the Starter Kit size which I initially just want to try out, (also because their full size is out of my budget as well) and see if it really helps on my skin, turns out it's a YES! I've tried this for a few weeks and it really controls my skin from growing more acne and pimples! So glad that they have the starter kit size for me to try out and I'm definitely getting the full size one after I've finished my current one!
#11. OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum
If you've read my review post on this product here, you definitely know the reason why I love it. This thing helps to clear my scars a lot! It feels like feeding extra vitamin for my skin. I've finished it a while a go and planning to get another one after I finished my other serums.
#12. Bloop Germ Blaster Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel
This has come to my favourite list because of the smell, and that's all! Even my boyfriend likes it very much! Just go ahead and read my review here.
And finally, that's all for my 2014 favourite beauty products! Read my part 2 here! And please do comment and let me know what are your favourite products, and which of these are your favourite as well!
Happy belated Valentine's Day
Happy Chinese New Year!
